2026 TMHRA Annual Conference

General Information

Join TMHRA for HR at the Heart of Cities! The TMHRA Annual Conference is designed for human resources professionals and municipal staff responsible for HR-related functions. Kick off the week with the pre-conference Strategic HR Leader Forum, where HR leaders will share insights on navigating 2026 health care planning, managing high-risk employee situations, and setting your team up for success.

The conference continues with three days of general and concurrent sessions focused on enhancing professional development, expanding knowledge, and strengthening the human resources function in municipal government. Attendees can also choose from breakout sessions across three tracks: 1) employment law; 2) benefits and wellness/risk/employee relations; and 3) best practices.

Sponsor Registration

All sponsor staff are required to register online prior to each event they will be attending. When completing your registration, please select the “sponsor comp” option to use complimentary registrations.

Set-up for booth spaces opens the day before the event starts. Specific set-up timelines, shipping/mailing information for booth items, and set-up locations will be provided to sponsors prior to each event.

Hotel Accommodations

All rooms will be available at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. The hotel has extended the following group rates based on occupancy. The cutoff date is April 13 or until the block is full, whichever comes first.

TMHRA Room Block Rate: $179/night + $15 resort fee

Please be aware of housing poachers if contacted about booking hotel rooms for the 2026 TMHRA Annual Conference. The only TMHRA-endorsed hotel for this event is Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock. Please note we are NOT working with any other companies to provide housing. Enrollment and Payment

Registrations will be processed once payment is received. Enrollment for the workshop is limited to human resources professionals and management representatives from Texas municipal governments (for example, city manager’s office, city attorney’s office, civil service commissioners, human resources department, police chiefs, and fire chiefs). This workshop is not for police or fire association labor members.

Continuing Education Credit

An application has been submitted to the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) to become a certified provider. Until we received a decision, individuals may submit program information to their certifying agency to determine if CEU’s or other credits may be applied. TMHRA does not pre-certify sessions for credit.

Cancellation Policy

If you are registered and purchased social event guest tickets and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $100 cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is not received by April 13. No refunds will be issued after April 13.

Attire

The conference attire is casual so please dress for comfort. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions in the event the meeting rooms are cold.
