TMHRA Members and Sponsors,
In light of the CDC’s recommendations to cancel or postpone in-person events consisting of 50 people or more for the next eight weeks, the TMHRA Board of Directors has decided to cancelthe 2020 TMHRA Annual Conference with the hope of rescheduling at a later date. The Board’sdecision was made with great tribulation. We will do our best to reschedule the conference for a time when we can all look back and be proud that we gave our best by supporting our cities in navigating this unprecedented situation.
We will continue to accept nominations for the TMHRA Professional Awards program through April 3. If we can rapidly reschedule the conference, we will present the awards at that time. However, if we are unable to promptly reschedule, we may consider announcing the award recipients electronically.
As always, please know the TMHRA Board is here for you as you work to support your city. In times like this, I am grateful for our TMHRA family. Our compassionate members are good at helping each other by sharing plans, ideas, and resources so we can all successfully navigate unknown and ever-changing situations like the one we are in now.
If you have questions or need more information, please feel free to reach out to one of your TMHRA Board members or me.
